It was going to happen eventually --- the babies had to be exposed to public spaces at some point. I'll admit I've been keeping them in their car seats and stroller a lot and whenever possible. It's pretty rare that they get turned loose at the park or even the library, mostly because, as crawlers, they get cooties all over themselves :) Also, two out of 4 kids strapped in somewhere makes things easier for me. So, when I recently said a little prayer and plopped them down on the petri dish that is the "inside park" floor, they almost didn't know what to do with themselves.
My inner germ phobe shudders at these pictures. (Annie is in the stripes, and Tessa is in brown)

eeww I totally agree with you. Inside park is a lifesaver... but it's germy gross! I always wipe Tommy down after we leave too!! The girls look great though and are clearly enjoying their mobility.
Oh man, your inner germ probe (and Meredith's!) would be GROSSING OUT if you hung out with me. Yesterday I watched Nikos drink some water out of our dog bowl. But I'm not all bad, I am TOTALLY FREAKED by dreadlocks. Again, must move out of Berkeley.
I'm right there with you with the germs. I dont even let Sabrina see the part of the mall with the kiddie play area. I had to suck it up when she turned 1 and put her in Germboree aka Gymboree so she would have some socialization but now with Caleb here and the whole C-Section recovery thing she is back to being a homebody. Oh and you comment on FB has been in my head since I read it. Yes, even with her being colickly how in the world did I ever think only having one kid was hard. Too funny!!
I'm glad you are as grossed out by public cooties as I am! I've been using costco babywipes to wipe everything down that he tries to touch. (not always successful :)I think I'm going to be buying them until Nicholas is 18!
