We've been going back and forth about whether we should shell out $160 for a mail-order DNA test to determine whether the twins are identical or fraternal. Tell us what you think first by responding in the poll to the right! Here are a couple of recent shots from this month to help you out:

(For those interested in the science behind this: I never realized until I was pregnant with these two that identical twins can have their own placenta and amniotic sacs. Tessa and Annie each had their own sac and placenta, but could still be identical if they split early enough. The probability of them being identical is about 1 in 9. And, the only way to know for sure is with this DNA test - we take a little sample of their DNA using a cheek swab, send it back to the company and wait for the results.)

I'm in for $5.
Hmmm. it's a hard one; but you've been wondering for so long, you should just get the test so you finally know!
I'm in for $5 too! You HAVE to do this test. It would be driving me crazy not to know. :)
I have no idea! I do know that they are super cute though :) Congrats. I would be dying to know also. Are you going to do the test?
Taking up a collection sounds like it could work! Could be your bday present?
Sounds like a good 'Professional Development Project' for a Chemistry teacher. Submit your proposal, Matt!
