Fall soccer has come and gone in this house. What kind of soccer mom would I be if I didn't have a slew of pictures to prove it?
Megan surprised us this year by suddenly being...good! I know that sounds terrible, but it's true. She went from being one of kids trotting after the ball in the background, to being truly aggressive. Something clicked, and she's now really confident on the field. It's so fun to watch her grow and get better at this!
Thankfully, both girls' games took place at the same park about a block from our house. The games were usually scheduled one after the other, and only at the same time once (this required a little running back and forth between fields, which is laughable considering the scheduling nightmares we'll face when they're older!). So, we camped out at the field for at least two hours each Saturday. If they weren't on the field playing, they were either watching the other playing or off running around with their friends.
In kindergarten, at least for our girls, soccer seems to be as much about socializing as learning anything about the game. While Bridget didn't necessarily love the soccer stuff, she was all too happy to spend time outside of the classroom with her buddies.
The girls had quite the fan club at most of their games. Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Stacy and Tessa and Annie were big supporters on the sidelines!
And, you have to count this little one, too! Mary didn't miss a game! She's getting used to tagging along :)
As much as we loved soccer, we're somehow managing to enjoy quiet Saturday mornings now!
